Abandoned Animal Rescue is a no-kill dog and cat shelter located in Tomball serving Northwest Harris and Southern Montgomery Counties in Texas. It is staffed by deciated volunteers devoted to saving the lives of homeless and unwnated companion animals. AAR believes all companion animals deserve to be treated humanely. Its mission is to end the unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats, to place them in homes for the duration of their lives, and to properly educate the public about responsible pet ownership. All animals surrendered to the shelter are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed and tested for heartworm. The adoption fee is $85.00 for dogs and $65.00 for cats. Purebred animals are $170.00. All operating money for AAR comes from medical and adoption fees, donations, and fundraisers. AAR receives no government money.

To adopt a pet from AAR you first fill out our adoption application. It is reviewed by a staff member and on approval an adoption agreement is signed. The adoption fee for a dog is $85.00 and $65.00 for a cat. The fee for a purebred is sometimes $170.00. The fee includes the spay/neuter, shots already given and wormer already given. If the pet is too young to spay or neuter and apointment is made to bring the pet back.
