Winston is a loving, funny cat, he really is. He's the kind of guy you want to hang around with. If he was a person, he'd be the one telling great stories of daring-do, making the whole crowd laugh and, well, fall in love a little.
Winston is looking for a home where he can settle down, relax, and be himself. He had a home for 5 years but, thanks to a dispute over what and where a litterbox should be, he's searching for new accommodations. The right pet parent can work with Winston to address his concerns and create a loving, sensitive, longterm relationship.

AdvoCATs is a small group of volunteers dedicated to finding loving, happy, healthy, permanent homes for cats and kittens in the National Capital Area. We are also dedicated to educating pet parents about feline health and welfare.
In addition to our main facility in Madison, Virginia, we hold adoption fairs at Petco stores in Northern Virginia. A schedule of events is available on our website at www.advocats-inc.org.
Our Adoption Process...
Prospective pet parents must fill out an application (available from our website or from a volunteer at our adoption fair) and participate in a brief interview. We will ask to see rental or condo agreements, as well as vet records for any pets currently living in the home. We ask that all members in the family participate in the adoption process, including responsible older children. We reserve the right to perform a home study if necessary. We will also ask for references in the application.
If the adoption is approved, there is a contract to be reviewed and signed. There is an adoption fee of $150 to cover spaying or neutering, all testing and vaccinations, microchipping, and all care up to the point of adoption. New pet parents receive all medical records and a pet parent information packet. Follow-up is done within three weeks of adoption.
We do not adopt kittens younger than 12 weeks. All cats are spayed or neutered before they are released for adoption. Also, kittens younger than 10 months must be adopted in pairs or to a home that already has a cat.
