| We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties: The Animal Care & Control Division works in partnership with the community to address problems associated with pet overpopulation, to promote responsible pet ownership and to enhance the health and safety of the community.
Animal Care & Control encourages the adoption of pets from animal shelters, enforces ordinances and laws regarding animal-related issues and conducts inspections for the licensing of facilities that sell, groom and kennel animals. |

Our hours of operation are:
* Weekdays (excluding Wednesday): 10am-6pm
* Wednesday: 10am-7pm
* Saturday: 10am-4pm
* The shelter is closed Sundays and holidays
Our Adoption Process
Indianapolis Animal Care & Control's adoption fee for dogs, puppies, cats and kittens is $60.00. Included is the spay/neuter surgery, a microchip (and the registration), all age-appropriate vaccinations (except rabies), a heartworm test (dogs) or FIV/FLV test (cats), a flea preventative, and lots and lots of love!
Altered animals can leave the same day they are adopted!
